LOVE MACHINE

Duo Show with Romain Zacchi at Kunstraum, Bruxelles
Opening - 01.27.23

LOVE MACHINE
represents a fresh perspective on the unique input from these seemingly divergent artists focused on industry and its tools.

This project is based on discovering the desire that both artists have to represent and actually use machines and industrial tools. Indeed, the popularity of voyeuristic “How it works” tech-porn on the internet has given rise to the desire to watch these machines actually functioning live. Somehow, witnessing this stark industrial gyration can awaken a feeling of contentment and sensuality within the viewer.

For his part, Romain incorporates his body as an industrial tool for the creation of a series of handcrafted forms, while on the other side Harold endeavors to represent a more organic and humane dimension with his machine-made drawings.

This juxtaposition offers the public an inherently contrasting view of the same production generated by either a sensual being or a mechanical object.
