Harold Lechien (1995) est un artiste pluridisciplinaire belge qui vit et travaille à Bruxelles.
Par une production plastique ou par le prisme des nouveaux médias, Harold Lechien transforme et détourne les images et les objets issus du commerce industriel, il interroge le fétichisme des marchandises qui anime les consommateurs modernes, les logiques promotionnelles 2.0 et la novlangue qui les accompagne. Régulièrement exposé en Belgique et à l’étranger depuis 2018 (ISELP - Bruxelles, CWB - Paris, DMW Gallery - Anvers, TRANSMEDIALE - Berlin (...)), son travail porte un regard singulier sur la circulation des émotions qui surgissent face à la production et à la réception affective des images et des produits industriels. Les œuvres d’Harold Lechien revendiquent une ambiguïté permanente ressentie entre l’humain et son environnement visuel et matériel.
A mi-chemin entre la sculpture, le design et la scénographie commerciale, son oeuvre se déploie par l’objet, l’image et la vidéo au sein d’installations polymorphes et modulaires, où stratégie marketing et création contemporaine se répondent.

Harold Lechien (1995) is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Brussels.
Harold Lechien transforms and distorts the images and objects of industrial commerce through plastic production and the prism of new media, questioning the commodity fetishism that drives modern consumers. Regularly exhibited in Belgium and abroad since 2018 (ISELP - Bruxelles, CWB - Paris, DMW Gallery - Anvers, TRANSMEDIALE - Berlin (...)), his work takes a singular look at the circulation of emotions that emerge in the context of the production and affective reception of industrial images and products. Harold Lechien's works reveal a permanent ambiguity between the human being and his visual and material environment.
Halfway between sculpture, design and commercial scenography, his work unfolds through object, image and video in polymorphous, modular installations, where marketing strategy and contemporary creation meet.
